Now tv hub two

Hi,

 

can hub be connected to rj45 or I’ll need the rj45 to rj11 adapter ??

The Black box has an RJ45 port on it, and so accepts an RJ45 cable connector. Ideally you will be using at least Cat 6 cable with an RJ45 connector on the other end also.

 

But technically, the four wires in telephone cables which use RJ11 are all you need, as long as you get the pinouts right, and don’t mind the crosstalk and lack of external shielding.

 

What are you trying to achieve here?

Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it.
Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now.
That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.

The problem is I only have rj45 socket there is no rj11 (phone) is the open reach guy will be Abel to connect router using only rj45 socket or do I need the adapter ??

in this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Zjum7LPrbo shows the hub2 the dual socket plugs into the BT socket [the patch cable supplied RJ45] goes into the one labled Nowtv, your home phone then plugs into the other,the other two yellow connectors are ports  you can connect to pc etc
