NOW TV black box Router

I wish to replace my very low grade Now TV black box. The box utilises the old 802.11n standard.

Can I upgrade to the latest standard, 802.11ac and plug it into my system instead. I'm thinking of the TP-Link Archer C3200.

Obviously don't want to purchase a new box if it is not compatable with NOW TV.

Thanks.

NOW TV don't use PPPoA authentication so you're not going to be able to easily use third party routers. A Sky Q router willl work and provides dual band wifi, or you can contact the broadband team and they can offer an upgrade to the Hub 2 (which is a rebadged Sky Q router) for £39.

Nowtv uses mer/pppoa, depending if fibre or Adsl. There is a user on this forum who has tp-link connected. If you pm him he will send settings. Just search for to-link nowtv in Google believe it was first forum link
