Now TV stick connection issue after power cut

We had a brief power cut last night and after this our Now TV sticks - we have 2 - can no longer see the WiFi network to which we were previously connected. Our router produces a signal at 2.4 Ghz and 5 GHz and the latter is by far the strongest signal. But now both sticks can only see the 2.4 GHz network which is not strong enough for streaming.

I have rebooted the router, TVs and sticks but still can't see the network. My laptop and phone can see and connect. I attempted to connect using the SSID but that didn't work.

I guess I have to factory reset but any idea why this has happened or other things to try first?

Many thanks in advance

Had a dig round the forum for another thread that might help. See this thread, hopefully it is of some help!

As you have performed the typical troubleshooting that NOW supply

Hate to say that a factory reset might have to happen to "refresh" the stick to get it working again.

Good luck and hope you get it resolved!

Thanks. I've tried factory reset and restarting TV and router again but it has had no effect - the stick can't see the 5 GHz network but if I stand next to the TV with my iPad I'm getting 400 Mbps.

Anyone got any suggestions?

@gavs82008

Thanks. I turned that up earlier this afternoon and as a result spoke to our BB provider - the interface for our router is far too technical. Anyhow, long story short, they couldn't explain why the power cut would have upset things but we're able to manuly set the channel for the Now TV sticks to channel 36 and hey presto, now the sticks can see the 5GHz network.

Thanks for your help with this.
