NOW TV Stick disconnecting from internet

Hi,

I'm having a problem with my NOW TV stick in which it will keep dropping its connection from the internet for a couple of seconds and then reconnect. This happens about every 5 - 10 minutes. I have tried updating the NOW TV stick but it doesn't seem to have helped.

Has anyone got any ideas how to fix this?

Many Thanks

@Grimmerz

Try doing a factory reset.

Otherwise I am afraid it is on the way out. You need to be aware that NOW no longer make any devices, so you will be very lucky to find a new stick.
Best to buy a device that is listed in the link below. Either Amazon Fire or Roku Sticks are the cheapest.

FYI that I do not work for NOW, just a NOW customer trying to help

WARNING - do not Factory Reset a Now Stick unless you have an active Now membership on the go. It will not let you back in without you either having one or taking out a new one.

A Hayu 7-day free trial will get you back in without spending any money, if you haven’t already had one, buy you will still need to give Now your payment details. And make sure you cancel the Hayu free trial within the first six days - straight away is best, and make sure you really do cancel it, and get the cancellation email.

Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it. Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now. That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.

Hi @Grimmerz

What's the wifi signal reception like where the NOW Stick is located?

Have you tried a different wifi channel on your Router (NOW Stick tends to operate when there is a good wifi signal on the lower Router wifi channel numbers on either 2.4ghz or 5ghz).
