To add to what @gavs82008 said, “putting the packages on the stick” isn’t the best way to look at it.
You subscribe to a Membership via your account, on possibly one of many devices you have that support Now, and when you open that account on any of those devices, all your Memberships on that account are automatically available to you there.
If you only watch Now on that one Stick, then your description and my description cover it equally well, of course.
But the difference comes when you have more than one device that can get Now, at which point you begin to appreciate the much greater versatility of how things actually are 😛
Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it.
Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now.
That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.
