Adding a channel to Now /Roku

I have downloaded an app and want to stream content from my mobile app via the Roku/Now stick.  When I select the 'cast' icon on my phone, Now TV shows as one of the options but the next step should give me the option to add a channel, but it does not.  Any ideas?

From my understanding The NOW Stick or branded NOW boxes don't offer full support to casting or screen mirroring.

 

The only App or website i had success with from my phone to my NOW branded devices is YouTube, which is pointless IMO because there is a native YouTube App on the NOW Stick / NOW Box.

 

Maybe look at a full blown Roku or Fire Stick if these two devices support the native App you are attempting to use via your smartphone or tablet.
