Hi, @Anonymous User This is what I’d expect to happen. Although chromecast devices are designed to operate independently of the device that starts the streaming, they still need to know when to stop streaming. So when you close the lid of your pixelbook, it shuts down and the chromecast detects that and stops. The pixel book is, in fact, acting as the remote control for the chromecast device, so turning off the pixelbook also turns the chromecast off.
