Are you using an iPhone by any chance ?
If so a couple of people have mentioned this and to remove the subtitles they had success by going to the Accessiabilty settings on their phones and try switching the on & off captions a few times and playing around with captions feature options.
Fingers crossed it will work for you.
If you are using a different mobile phone, maybe still try the above procedure.
