Presumably delayed message received

I received a text message on my landline (automated voice) sent from my sister's mobile, but referring to things from a year ago. Having spoken to her and BT, I can only assume this message got caught up in the system somehow and was released yesterday. Has anyone else had something similar happen, and if so, who should I contact to check that no more (possibly important) messages are stuck somewhere in the ether. It freaked me out!
