Now TV App picture size problems.

Hopefully someone can give me some help.

I used to own a Lenovo Tab 2, but have just changed it due to it having problems & went for a Huawei MediaPad T3. The Lenovo was a 10" screen & when it played Now TV on the Android App it filled up the whole screen. With the new Huawei 9.7" screen, when it plays Now TV on the Android App, it now shows it widescreen with black bars top & bottom. YouTube videos & things like ITV player show full screen ok.

Is this something to do with the Huawei tablet, the version of Android or the Now TV App? There doesn't seem to be a way of changing the ratio & it is ok on the other apps.

I don't use the nowtv App on my Android Phone, and this is a bit of a long shot but what happens if you either double or triple tap the screen quickly when the movie is playing ?

Thanks for the help,

I tried double tapping the screen & it does make it bigger, not full screen, but quite a bit bigger, it zooms in & cuts a bit out each side. I've never had to do that before, so didn't know you could.

Just wondering if the videos you was watching on YouTube and the ITV Hub was 16.9 aspect ratio on your new tablet.

Are you using a nowtv entertainment or cinema pass ?

If you have an cinema pass have you tried watching a 16.9 movie instead of a 21.9 letter box movie, just to see if it fills up the screen (maybe try The Wedding Singer which is a 16.9 movie with Adam Sandler just for a short test).
