Yes, alas, it does that. It doesn’t seem to know that you are typing, and times out if you don’t Enter soon enough.

Hence my comment about short and sweet; or ensure you press Enter every line or less, no matter how choppy that makes the Chat; better than a disconnect.

No bad idea to put an email in as well; NowTV promise to respond promptly, though this promise Is not always kept.

Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it. Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now. That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.

There is actually an enormous wealth of information provided by NowTV if you choose the Help option, and the idea is that you work through that, and if it still doesn’t resolve your query, then you get the option to contact NowTV directly, either by Live Chat or Email, and even - though for Broadband only - by telephone.

However, this process seems to fail for a lot of people - I’m not sure where or why - but we do get the regular complaint on the Community that people can’t find these ‘Get in Touch’ options.

If you have not gone through the Help, @Anonymous User, then I recommend that you go back and try it.

But if you have gone through it, and got nowhere, here are some useful links:-

Get in Touch (all the options, and the best place to start):-

https://help.nowtv.com/gb/get-in-touch/

Live Chat and Send Us a Message:-

https://help.nowtv.com/contact-us/managing-my-devices

On Live Chat, keep you answers short, sweet and prompt, or it will time out on you.

If the person you are talking to doesn’t seem able to understand your issue, ask to be escalated to the next level of help.

Good luck!

Hi @Anonymous User

My first reply post in this thread tells you how to access Live Chat, but there is also an option you can reach from that link to email NowTV.

It is is worth putting everything you want to say in an email, and give NowTV time to reply, which they promise they will.

But if they don’t, at least when you next go on Live Chat, you can refer them to the email, with its full description of the issue and what steps you have tried to fix it, and then go from there with them.

Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it. Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now. That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.

Hi. I'm useless at forums. I read a reply a moment ago to someone who had requested a link to Live Chat. The person replying said they had posted a comment giving details of how to find Live Chat. I couldn't find that comment. Please can someone post the link again? I suspect I am one of many people who have tried to buy passes after using Tesco Clubcard Deals to add credit to their account. NOWTV told me in the email that they are aware of this problem and that I could talk to someone on Live Chat but they didn't give a direct link. Thanks.

Get in Touch (all the options, and the best place to start):-

https://help.nowtv.com/gb/get-in-touch/

On a screen with big buttons all around, you may find the link you need is under a tiny green arrow, so be vigilant.

Live Chat and Send Us a Message:-

On Live Chat, when you can get onto it, keep your answers short, sweet and prompt, or it will time out on you.

If the person you are talking to doesn’t seem able to understand your issue, ask to be escalated to the next level of help.

<If you can’t access Live Chat and nothing happens, try a different browser from your usual one (Internet Explorer, Edge, Chrome, Firefox, Safari) on which you haven’t disabled pop ups, third party cookies or indeed any cookies, haven’t set an Ad Blocker, and haven’t set Noscript on, or JavaScript off, as any or all of these things may prevent the Live Chat window appearing>
