Ipad not compatible?

I have been a Now TV customer for years and use it pretty much only to watch football, mainly on Ipad. I've just come on to watch the football to see that it is no longer supported as I need Ios 13. I go to update my Ipad and the highest version I can get is 12.5. The app store says I should be able to download an earlier version of the app but I can't see anywhere to do this. So basically, is it now impossible for me to use Now TV on my Ipad??

According to this the app should work, but you won’t get any updates and bug fixes.

iOS 11 & 12 are no longer supported

The NOW app no longer supports iOS 11 or 12. If your iOS device is running on 11 or 12, you'll still be able to watch for as long as the app works for you, but you won't receive any updates like new features and bug fixes.

The latest version of the app requires iPadOS 13 or higher, sorry.

@schnapps casts doubt on how up to date the information in the Help is, here:-

with reports coming in that iOS/iPadOS 13 is now the minimum.

Downloading older versions of apps on iPads is certainly possible, if not easy; but it’s something that may not work if the older app tries to communicate with the Now servers using an API that is no longer current.
