I have gone through the set-up procedure and everything seemed OK until I chose a show to watch.
The sound comes through perfectly but the picture has a banner across it saying it can't show it.
Can you help please?
Thanks

Hi @Anonymous User,
"A banner"... I've never heard of anything like this happening before! Are you able to take a picture of what you are seeing?
Many thanks

Hi @Anonymous User
Could this possibly be a high bandwidth Digital content protection (HDCP) issue. Perhaps. The way to confirm this would be to use another service on your LG TV that provides HD content such as BBC iPlayer or Netflix if other apps were then it's not a HDCP issue. However, if other apps don't work then it could be there is an issue with your TV
What do you think @SeeMoreDigital ?

I don't think I've ever heard of an HDCP message being triggered when using a TV's in-built app. But stranger things have happened.
@Anonymous User
Have you checked that your TV software/firmware is upto date. According to LG's web site the latest is version: 03.03.43. Released: 21 Aug 2014
Cheers

Has the forum member confirmed that they are definitely using the internal NowTV app on the LG smart TV and are not using another NowTV external device which could be a possible HDMI cable issue ?
Seen this before when somebody using a smart TV and actually not using the inbuilt TV app instead they were using another remote device to watch streaming content (i know it doesn't make any sense but i have seen it happen).

Hi @Anonymous User
Thanks for getting in touch with us. I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with watching content.
Are you able to send us a photo of the error you're getting?
With this we'll be able to look into this further for you.
Thanks

Hi all,
After conducting more research it would appear that the LG 42LD450 does not offers any networking capabilities at all, so obviously it does not offer any 'apps' either...
Which means @Anonymous User must be using an externally connected NOW TV capable device. All we need to know now is, what type of device it is!
Cheers

If that's the case, it would possibly point to an HDMI cable issue (That would be my best guess).
SMD fair play, i take my hat off to your Sir for doing the extra research on behalf of this forum member.
The more information the forum members can give on the community with their issues , the easier / quicker active members who contribute on the community can reply with a possible solution.
Keep up the splendid work.

@SeeMoreDigital that's odd
From the stuff I found it appeared to be a Netcast TV with apps , meaning that connectivity capabilities would be at the very least implied (this is one of those situations where a confused smiley would be appropriate, but the forum doesn't have one). Unless the several different variations of the same TV, a bit like there's multiple different variants of the Roku 2 and Roku 3.
