Extremely poor picture quality

I have no idea why but the quality of Now Tv on my LG television is absolutely awful, its a 50Inch Plasma and its like certain shows arent even worth watching because of the picture quality. Its not a problem with my internet as I can stream 3D and 4K content. Is there a solution to this? I mean I know the Max setting is 720p but it looks blurry even on my 21" pc screen. Is this the norm? Thank you.

Can you please make sure the NOWTV App and the software is up to date on your TV. 

 

Can you please also try unplugging the TV and plug it back in again and try reconnecting to your Wifi connection.

Hello hello can anybody hear me?

 

I am sick of being ignored by now TV technical support when I ask an awkward question. All I want it support for a service I pay for. That should not be too much to ask for

 

I will restate my question:

 

Who wrote the NowTV app supplied on LG TVs, is it LG or NowTV?

 

I would like some answers to the questions in this thread.

The answer to your question is the NOW TV app for LG TV is written in house .

Thanks for uour reply and I apologise for being curt.

 

So any issues with the LG TV App would be resolved by the NowTV team.

 

Any ideas when the problems raised in this thread will be investigated.

We have raised this issue with the relevant Team and hope to have some updated news shortly.

 

I understand that this can be slightly frustrating when it comes to viewing the service on your preferred device, but rest assured, we are on the case!

 

In the meatime please check out this list all supported devices.

A month later, any progress? If there has been then I guess I'm not one of those on the list.

 

This issues seems very similar to new threads raised (or bumped) in the last few weeks concerning picture quality.

Hi @herojan 

 

Thanks for getting back to us, I can fully appreciate how annoying this is getting. We're hounding the Tech Team constantly and they assure us that a resolution is coming.

 

In the meantime could you please check that your Firmware is fully up to date and that the Router is reset before doing so. Also it may be worth seeing if you can connect to the Router via Cable rather than WiFi.

I've already tried your suggestions with no improvement.
