Hi Guys and super hero fans
I've just heard that CW have renewed all it's super hero shows and will have another four-way crossover, so Supergirl will have a season 3, Flash will obviously have a season 4, Arrow 6 and Legends 3.
There is also promised something new to replace the US Thursday night spot vacated by Legends but, as usual, CW are being very tight lipped about it.
What I don't know is if Sky will take up CW's yet unknown new super hero series when it starts.
Super hero-wise, 2017 is looking good.
UK Bob
PS. If and when that new super hero show starts, that promised four-way crossover may turn into a five-way crossover.

Good news to start the new year, linky thing here to one confirmation of this:
Just a heads up for everyone the current season of the shows return staring with Supergirl on Mon Jan 30th.
Bob: I'm scouring the web seeing if I can find out what the new shows is going to be. Will post here when I find something.

Hi @mark_suff
I don't think the dates that are currently floating around for the return of the DC TV shows are correct. I've actually mentioned this already.
Also, if the DC TV shows were returning at the end of January. NowTV would have mentioned it in their recent entertainment blog post and they didn't which suggests the shows don't start to return at the end of January. They do mention Supergirl In various but I think that's more because Season one is now available as a box set and The availability of season 2 part A , appears to have been extended.
I think various places on the Internet might have made the classic mistake of looking at the US dates and automatically assuming that they will start a few weeks after in the UK. But of course as the schedules of previous years have shown that may not be the case.

Hi Guys
I've just heard that CW are thinking about, may be even planning, a new Superman series and it could possibly involve rebooting Smallville, however it's highly unlikely that it will be the show to take over Legends Thursday night spot in the US
If they did reboot Smallville, I would hope that they introduce a new Lex Luther, similar to Michael Rosenbaum portrayal of him.

Can't say I'm that bothered with the news of yet another show, I've got enough on watching the current crop of shows, I doubt I could find time to start watching yet another superhero show (I'm not that much of a superhero fanatic). I'm already considering dropping Legends as S2 hasn't captured my interest. Out of the current rumours abounding only Green Lantern and vaguely Constantine might interest me. Certainly not yet more Superman.

And while it doesn't interest me, I know the rest of you will be dying to hear more about the musical crossover episode, so here's your daily fix

I like how they mention Buffy's Once More With Feeling, I'd be amazed if they can pull off anything like the success that was!

Hi @Andy
Thanks
the return of the DC TV shows will most likely be in February, then because of the shows weren't mentioned in now TVs latest entertainment blog post and they would have been if they were coming back in January

Whichever it is, it's an improvement on last year! Mind you I rely on the mid-season breaks to catch up on everything else!
Anyway, more importantly what do we think about the musical episode ... should we just hum along to the tunes or should we have the lyrics on screen so we can all sing along? Decisions, decisions! 😉

Well Andy & C6
I'm not a fan of musicals because the music in them are usually bland, like eating plain sliced bread without any butter, blaaaah!
However I, like Andy, use the breaks to catch up on other stuff, what I do not like is that all my favourite shows break at the same time.
But where I differ from Andy, I love those super hero shows and it would take a lot more to wear out my enjoyment of them. Although, I am trying to explore other genres as well I'm finding that difficult to work up any enthusiasm for.
As for Legends, it has turned out a lot better than the last season and I think the reason CW has moved it to Tuesdays in the US is to recapture the fans it lost during season one. I've stuck with it and I think I've been rewarded with better scripts and better special effects.
As for the possible new Superman show, I hope CW has a better nemesis planned, i.e. a better Lex Luther (not the rubbish WB/DC keep churning out).
Finally, if CW plans to experiment with a short season of Green Lantern shows then I'm up for that, I believe that CW can produce something a lot better than the film WB/DC inflicted on the world.

PS. "Buffy's Once More With Feeling" was a success, you are being ironic aren't you?
PPS. CW plan to make a series of six, five minute cartoon episodes of Constantine, similar to the two series they've produced of Vixen, as a way of easing that hero into the CW-verse.
