Why does it take so long for F1 races and qualifying to be available on demand?

It's almost 23hrs after the Italian race and I still cannot watch it. Why does this process take so long. Often the post race features etc are available but not the race its self, very frustrating. Can anyone suggest why this is.

Can you provide an answer for @Sean_Brown ?

My assumption will be purely down to rights. Not sure if the Channel 4 deal for the highlights has an effect on the race being added in a timely manner though.
