What is Membership

I haven't used Now TV for months and am a bit confused about membership. I foolishly thought my Now TV account was my membership. Does Sports membership mean you pay for either a days viewing or a months viewing at whatever rate that applies at the time.  If I sign up & pay for a months viewing (£33.99 currently) is that my membership. I know I have to cancel that (membership?) to avoid auto renewal.

I'm ######ed that I will have to pay extra to view on more than one screen at a time as we normally view on four different screens. I bought extra Now TV boxes for that reason. I'm also upset that Argos and Currys no longer sell the voucher/passes as they were cheaper than buying direct from Now TV. Are there any more surprises with new Now TV.

Indeed, NOW have stopped the retailing of vouchers for the TV memberships. Currently the only way you are lucky to get vouchers are if your able to purchase a NOW stick from Amazon/Currys/Argos.

The idea behind TV memberships for NOW hasn’t changed at all unless your billing is with BT. So you can dip in for a month of any TV membership and cancel whenever you want.

If you have an offer for “3 months” but only need 1 month then you can cancel of course. However you’ll lose out on the 2 additional months discount.

Rebranding to “memberships” is just a another term for passes and was used to make it seem your part of a group and a community.

So firstly you can stop saying Now TV, as of March they rebranded and dropped TV from its name. It is just called NOW.

Secondly, a membership with now can mean TV; entertainment, movies or sport

Sport you still get the option of a Day membership at £9.99 or the Month membership at £33.99

There is also broadband membership.

Your account is getting the "foot in the door" for selecting any membership you want.

Have a look at this link which will just go into more depth of what I have mentioned.

I didn't know about the rebranding.  Did Now drop the selling of passes in Argos and Currys when they rebranded. That was my preferred way of paying for content.

The reason I asked "What is Membership" is because Now (TV) was supposed to be free of any commitment and membership usually means an ongoing commitment.

I know 'membership' could be for for all the content on Now, I used Sports monthly because I plan on buying a few months from now until Winter. I bought three Now boxes to watch Sky golf coverage only as there is so little on terrestrial TV.  Unless I pay for a Boost I will only need one box.

If I pay £33.99 for a months Sports that is my Sports membership. The membership ends at the end of the month provided I have cancelled before then to avoid auto renewal.  No ongoing financial commitment.  Is that correct.

When I first saw Membership I feared it was another way of getting money from us in addition to the price we pay for watching the content.

Thank you for your help clarifying this.
