I've been with now tv for 2 years now and still no red button... They want you to pay £33.99 a month for sports. More then sky satellite anyway per month and to top it all no red button.. Sky showing all championship matches midweek on red button (i can't believe it).. Now tv could make it happen.. After all. it's a Internet run device. But can't be bothered. Sky giving red button to people on contract. Total rip off. Not fit for purpose.

Hi @Anonymous User We're still looking on implementing this as you are right. Not having a contract shouldn't mean a lesser service. Thanks for taking your time to get in touch with us on the forum.
How's about just putting on.. Each red button link.. End of the day . It would be the same. .you can only watch one red button link. ... Your boxes are not designed to record anything anyway.. This has been going on for awhile now. And like i said.. End of the day its a Internet based device.... You don't even have to have the red button on the remote to work.. Just give us a link for each red button event.. And job done..cause like you said in the above reply.. Not having a contract shouldn't give you a lesser service.. Especially paying over the odds to the same company

The problem is you’re web site is advertising the games as being shown On now tv, so anyone buying and activating a pass would be out of pocket.
Totally agree, it's a farce that i pay for content that i can't even watch. The other year, they even put a play off final on the red button. I remember wanting to watch something once, but it was on the red button whilst something else was on 3 channels all at the same time! I may be misremembering, but i think it was the ryder cup. Whatever it was, it was on 3 channels at the same time. The exact same coverage. Whilst what i wanted to watch, was on the red button so i was stuffed. It actually feels like Sky don't want customers at times. If it's not that, it's the "Are you still there?" thing popping up halfway through the second match on a sunday.
It's got to be a sky thing... There giving the extra to those on contract (minimum 18 months by the way now). Now tv have said they finding it hard to implement the Red Button. Let's remember who owns now tv... It really isn't that difficult.. Really... There's other platforms.. Where you can get all the updates you want... It's automatic... Even all the Red Button links... And let me say I'm totally against this activity... Then we've got us. full paying customers.. They've got the backing of one of the country's biggest infrastructure in Internet industry.. And they can't add the red button... Like i said.. No need to have the red button on the remote to work.... Just add links to fully paid customers. Who are trying to play right... If all the against the law people can do it... Give it to your own customers .. Contract or not..
Have paid £80 for 4 month sports pass to watch EFL midweek games as advertised but now find i cannot watch my team. Surely mis represntation and can be challenged.
Yes, I signed up for the same reason to watch my team Norwich and figured that I might save £120 year as opposed to subscribing to a full Sky Sports package. I thought that this was a good move by Sky to capture a new market, so we all might be happy. However, not only does it seem that most of the games are not shown on NowTv, the internet connection works very poorly. All in all, I feel Sky have misrepresented their product and misled me. They have also got my card number which was needed to activate the £25 one month pass I purchased from Argos and countless reviews claim that money is being taken from bank accounts without authorisation. The whole thing smacks of sloppy if not shabby practice. I think I will just have nothing to do with them and watch the live text on the BBC website for the midweek games.
Tony-D is this a realistic prospect any time soon?
Being able to watch Championship matches is an excellent new addition.....if we actually could!
NowTV customers are paying significant amounts already.....so if it's going to take a long time for Sky to get the red button on NowTV perhaps they could at least allow NowTV customers to view view the Sky Mobile app in the meantime until it's ready.

Tbh @Anonymous User In my opinion, i can't see a reason why not. I would love it due to being able to watch big Championship games or following Super Frank with Derby. The Sky Mobile app would be a great alternatvie as well. I'll have to have a word with one of the main guys here and see what they say.
@Tony-D Any luck with seeing if NowTV customers can get access to these games somehow Tony? (via Sky mobile etc)

Easy solution - 10 sports channels - max 10 games (normally 5 as half on Tuesday and half on Wednesday). Some or all of the channels get re-assigned on those nights. Main Event, Mix, News and Football no issue. F1 is only showing repeats midweek no issue. So that's 5. Unlikely Premier League, Golf or Cricket would be showing any live sports at the same time. That's 8. And Action and Arena are often showing programmes like Watersports World in that slot that could be broadcast anytime. So 10. You could have 11 by treating Sky One viewers to a live game as well.

Don’t think that’s a good way to do it or necessary, simply adding red button placeholders at the bottom of the channel list would be simpler and not deprive people of their sports channels, the red button channels could then be used for other red button events. I’m not convinced they want to do it, plain and simple.
Why don’t they just add the extra streams as separate channels and just call them Sky Sports Special Event 1, 2 etc..forget the red button business, would solve a lot of problems.
I don't think they really want to implement it.. . If all those illegal providers can do it... Why.. Oh why. They can't or finding it really hard to... The red button. Doesn't matter... Like you said they just add the extra red button options .... Everyone pays the price (over the odds)... And gets let down ..
I have just entered an sky sports month pass gift card and on the top on the of that page it say sky sports red button service aren’t available yet so it looks it is coming to me soon hopefully.
Had the same problem. I wanted to watch Rotherham vs Hull City on red button as advertised but can’t due to no red button. Do the right thing Now TV and refund us all please. A boycott looms.
And as far as hard to implement it.. Let's just remember what they've just implemented hayu... Quite easy really.. Isn't it....
Don’t see it as difficult to implement I just question how committed sky are to the Now tv platform, given that via satellite you can get all sky sports in hd for £20 now they are making a hefty scalp out of now tv customers and to not offer the red button is quite a rip off
I cannot access red button golf channels /sports channel. my zapper has neither red button nor star button
