Sports for £18 a month

Hello,

Sky is offering (without contract) 2 football sports channels for £18 a month, to see all the PL matches + others  - can this offer be made available on Now TV ?

@George25

Nowtv offers all 11 Sports channels for £25 for 12 months, not everyone is a football fan,as Nowtv has a big F1 fan base and NFL following,and offer good deals re: the above!!!!

Hello,
Appreciate your reply. Conversely I no longer follow NFL or F1 and resent paying for those channels. I would have thought splitting the channels out would be of advantage to all Now TV customers, more affordable prodicut and enhanced customer choice (mix and match sport channels). £25 a month for 12 months is steep especially since 3 of those months will be over next summer with no PL football available.
Thanks

If the sports channels were split out, there would need to be numerous different passes.  Also I doubt it would save much, and probably cost more than the regular offers for all channels.  And on demand would need to only show the shows the subscriber is entitled to.  A lot of work on the part of Now, and unlikely to attract more subscribers.

I don't follow anything other than Football and GAA (Rugby & Tennis are mostly elsewhere) , but have to accept that what I pay contributes towards F1, NFL, Cricket, Golf, Horses, Darts etc.  At least, the football is on pretty much all the time nowadays.

FWIW I only have the entertainment pass for Sky Atlantic especially now Sky Arts is on Freeview.  I get all the other channels via Virgin, so I am paying twice for stuff I don't watch!

@George25 the £18 a month offer Sky is advertising is for existing customers only. New customers need to subscribe to an 18 month contract for the entertainment package before becoming eligible, taking the cost to £39 a month.

The current NowTV offer can be cancelled at any time so if you just want it for football, cancel when the season ends.

Every television service in the UK (terrestrial/satellite/streaming) will have you paying for channels you don't watch.

I have been an Nowtv customer since there inception and was a customer with Sky for 16 1/2 years, and only cut the cord last year when there pricing policy became too expensive, ie paying for channels you never watch and for a minimum of 18 months.

Nowtv is much more flexible where you can dip in and out whenever it takes your fancy, which I have been doing for the last 18 months since leaving Sky tv  and saving a small fortune in the process!!!!
