Hi,
Any idea when the current HD boost issue will be resolved, its around 2 weeks now ?
Surely we deserve a better update than the one of the help pages - like an expected fix date ??
Thanks
Problem is it might be more than a software issue - I.e. is the box hardware really up to it?
Youview hardware might get stuck with 25Hz.
Hi,
If this is the case, they need to release the rest of us and get us back onto HD. I am not using Youview box directly (I am going via internet, as I suspect many sports customer now are).
We are paying for a service that we are not receiving and if you are correct, the issues is unfixable from a NOW TV standpoint.
Thanks
So if you are using a PC the maximum resolution available is 720p at 25Hz. This is not an ‘issue’ - it’s just that Boost does not claim to give you 1080p / 50 on a PC.
The service issue only relates to Youview boxes.
See https://help.nowtv.com/article/what-is-highest-streaming-quality-for-my-device
This should confirm for you that you can only get 720p / 25 on your device and Boost is no use to you if you are wanting 1080p / 50.
Hi Again,
So when I say using the internet i am NOT was viewing via a Youview (BT box).
I didn't say was on a PC however, I have this through an Xbox and up until recently I had full HD on all sports channels (so HD had worked up until this problem arose recently).
According to the notice the issue is with Youview boxes but they have degraded everyone's sports to SD to ensure everyone gets to see sports.
Just asking for an ECD of problem fix. We are paying for HD boost and not getting the service ?
the least we can expect is a reasonable update and fix timeline (not just the same notice reposted every few days so it seems like a new update).
Thanks
I think you are misreading the service status. It is talking about Youview box users with boost being degraded.
If you look at the link I provided it says that 50fps is currently not available on XBox. This isn’t related to the Youview problem in the service issue.
I have a Sony TV and I am certainly getting 50fps on the 6 major sports channels at the moment. So they haven’t reduced the quality for everyone as you have assumed.
