@Anonymous User no, you need the Sky Box Office app which is only available on a Now branded device, pc, mobile or tablet.

Hi @Anonymous User

You will either need a branded NOW box or NOW Stick to watch on your television, plus you need to buy the Sky Sports Box Office event via the Sky BOX Office website and is not linked to a NOW Sports Membership.

Have a read of this linked Help Article.

They really need to allow casting/airplay with the app or put it on other devices like Apple TV or Firestick with NowTV Sticks not even being sold by Now anymore can't imagine many pay to actually watch on a Phone lol.

Hi @Enapace

I have never purchased a Sky Sports Box Office event myself on PPV, but i believe Airplay used to work until someone decided to clamp it down.

i agree Sky and the company that runs the Sky Box Office service are missing a trick and not maximising full potential revenue by adding more supported devices that offers the Sky Box Office App (even if they have got to pay a licence fee for the App to be added to other platforms).

Personally myself i would never fork out £25 for a Sky Box Office PPV event even if it was on more devices.

Oh i've never brought as i never had a NowTV Box always used another platform and because PPV is mainly boxing and i don't watch that much. Oh totally more people would use if they spread it to other platforms would easily make up for the licensing fee.

Hi @Enapace

I don't mind a bit of boxing (especially when it was on the BBC and ITV during the eighties and early nineties, but i am a tight git 😁 and £25 is a bit rich for me 😀.

Will catch the fight when or if it eventually airs on Sky Sports with my NOW Sports Membership usually in a few weeks time.

@Enapace @schnapps Sky Box Office can be side loaded onto a Roku device as a "private channel".

In years past I've bought 2 ppv events on my old black box and both were a disaster. The first had major audio sync issues and I was given a full refund (after several email complaints) by Neulion who run the service.

The second was Joshua v Klitschko. The stream cut out before the first round and didn't return until the start of the 4th round. Many many complaints and all I was offered was 50% off my next ppv purchase.

Haven't been near them since! I can't trust them to get the product right and can't trust them to refund when they get it wrong!

Now you know why it is known as Pay Perhaps View 😛

Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it. Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now. That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.
If you take an offer that comes with a ‘free trial’ of Boost or another Membership, Cancel them straight away. You will still get the full duration of the trial, and if you decide you do want to continue with one or another of the trial products, just revisit the Cancel, and UnCancel it.
