So on Thrusday night (12/03/20) I signed up to my offer of 3 months sky sports pass for £20 a month.
I watch a lot of sports and due to The Players Championship/Football/The Masters etc coming soon, I thought it would be a good time to sign up.
This plan has gone out the window due to the COVID-19 outbreak throughout the sporting world, meaning that i'm currently paying for Sky Sports, but there are no sports to watch!! Surly there must be a way of cancelling my pass until world sports have recovered?|
Anyone else in the same boat?
Dave👍
YES! NOW TV needs to put out a statement about Sports passes and refunds NOW
BUT I believe you can cancel your £20 pass at anytime and that you don't have to keep it for 3 months.
I have a £20 monthly pass due to roll over at the end of March onto another offer of £26.99 a month for 6 months. We watch PDC darts and tennis and some NFL. Can get nowhere on online chat about a refund for my current pass OR if the new offer will be on the table at a later date. Arghhh!
BUT I believe you can cancel your £20 pass at anytime and that you don't have to keep it for 3 months.
Sadly in my case that is not an option. The pre-paid pass on the stick runs for three consecutive months. So I have paid for three months, had two fixtures postponed in last 28 days meaning I got next to zero value from first month, and will get zero value in months 2 & 3. Lesson learned. Will use day passes in the future.
I had a 3 month pass on a stick bought from currys for £49 and i had exactly a month left when i contacted Now Tv chat yesterday.
They gave me a free months sports pass code and even left my remaining month i have active so i will get to watch whatever meagre offerings they show for the next month and i can use my free pass when things get better.
If you havent already get on live chat as they were helping lots of people yesterday but maybe today they are getting less generous with their help ?
I only watch live football on my sky sports, so I went on live chat to cancel my pass that went onto 4th April and asked if they could give me a voucher code for a month for when the football came back on again, which they said they would not do, so I said to them cancel the pass so it would not renew when this pass ended, I thought it would run to the end date, because when I cancelled a pass before it ran to the end date, they cancelled my pass and that was it, it was cancelled straight away and it would not run to its end date.
I have been back on live chat and they said they cannot do anything, so I have lost a pass for a month worth £25.
It is a disgrace the way now tv are treating people.
All I want is now tv to give me a sky sport month voucher code.
I've been in a similar situation - if THEY cancel a pass it cancels immediately (rather than when you cancel it when it runs until the end of the month). And NO they don't tell you that at the time! I doubt you'll get any actual money back from them but if you keep hassling them (mention 'lack transparency' with some frequency) and you may just get a voucher for a pass which you can use later. I did so keep going back to them
yes I will keep on to them

A very similar boat. I started my 3 month pass on 15th Feb thinking it would see me through to end of football season. I don't know what is going to happen, but I only want the pass when the football is on. Even as it is I have lost out in first month as two games were rescheduled and I only got one game I wanted to watch in the last 28 days. As the three month pass with stick retails at £99, it has to be the most expensive game I have ever watched. If only I had used the one month pass instead...
Same here tried to cancel sport pass due to no golf coverage says click on cancel on the pass nothing on there to do that
I've just started a six months trial and all I want is the football,I'm surprised now tv hasn't suspended passes because sport won't be on for months,I'm waiting till the end of month ,then cancelling the payment until it restarts
I bought a 3 month Sky Sports pass at £16.99 a month on 26th February. If I cancel now will they still take my payments on 26th March and 26th April ?
I went on the live chat and asked them to cancel my months pass, when I have done this in the past the pass has run to the end date, this time I asked them to do this and it cancelled the pass straight away and it was not going to run to the end date.
I went back onto live chat and they were clueless how to rectify the problem and I am still trying to get them to put it right.
I think now tv have treated me disgracefully, all they have to do is reissue me with a new month pass code, but they have refused to do that.
Very poor customer service.
I managed to get the remaining two months cancelled and two new month passes issued yesterday evening. My fourth attempt.
The only advice I can give is to state exactly what you want and mention frustration of contract as the rationale. It was effective.

Cancel it, and no further payments will be taken.
I have cancelled my rolling contract which was due to renew 6th April as its not clear that the Footy will be back by then
I'll take the hit this month as its nots NOW TV's fault but they really should be proactive and extend a credit voucher (or refund) to all Sports subscribers. If they cannot offer what they advertise they are in breach of contract.
Unprecedented times and no easy answer but.....
I also have a full season pass due to expire at the end of June. It is currently worthless and not being used for the purpose it was intended. Of the circumstances are out of Now TVs control, however what is within their control is that they could
1. Be clear with their customers of their plans, which should be to guarantee those who paid for a full season pass that they will get to view the remaining part of the season for free, if it gets up and running at some point.
2. Or offer a refund.
3. Offer movies or entertainment as a stop gap until the season re commences.
4. Stop making it impossible to contact them.
Some customers have been left in the dark for over a month now and chat advisors are making it difficult also for customers to get clarity.
This approach from Now TV will lose them customers.
similar problem
I bought 3 months pass for live sport after a month 13/3/20 all live sport was cancelled
I contacted Now via their email compliant system 4 times since asking for their solution I have had no reply - great customer relationship they are building with me !!!
Now will start taking more monies (monthly subscription) in May
A Simple reasonable resolution is all I want unless I get this in the next two weeks I will instruct my bank to stop future payments
If i were you i would cancel the payment straight away, dont wait. As it is harder to get your money back once it is taken. Their elimination of customer support on the pretence that they cannot contact during Covid (whereas the rest of the world is coping fine) shows their true colours.

Alternatively just cancel it via https://account.nowtv.com/passes
Same for me. I'm a avid Wolves fan and I bought a three month pass at the beginning of March. It's really unfair for people in our position have paid for nothing. I wonder if a refund could be the way to go. After all the passes were brought with the understanding that perticular sporting competitions would be available. Do the'agreement' was Brocken. The product is faulty.
