NowTV Boost & HD

Hi, I use NOWTV almost exclusively so that I can watch sky sports without getting a skybox or paying their ludicrous prices. I also pay for NOW BOOST which I believed gave me HD channels.

I watch on the NOWTV app on my PC and I almost always use my PC for it, is there anyway to receive the skyhd channels on my PC through NOWTV (Either by the app or by buying a separate NOWTV box or dongle) Or alternatively any way I could get the HD Sport on my TV downstairs.

Otherwise I'll have to cancel the boost as I get no value out of it unfortunately.

Hi @EthanMoore

1080p with Boost is not currently available on a PC.

If you are looking for something on your television (assuming it doesn't support the NOW App) then look at something like a Roku player or Amazon Fire Stick which you would be then able to watch 1080p with the smoother frame rate of 50fps which is a must for Sports in my opinion.

Thanks for the quick reply @schnapps . That's really annoying but I suppose the next best thing is plugging a dongle into my computer monitor and using it that way. Do the fire stick and roku dongles both support the HD sports 50fps? That'd be great

Hi @EthanMoore

This link should answer your question about 1080p and 50fps support.

If using a PC Monitor make sure it is HDCP compatible on it's HDMI input port and can native refresh at 1080p 50hz.
