Flash-ups on screen during football matches

Does anyone know if there is a way to stop the incessant (every couple of minutes) flash ups during football games...?

What device are you using to watch NOW?

Do you have boost?

Re: Flash-ups on screen during football matches

I’m watching on a Panasonic TV with a NOW stick.

I don’t have a problem with anti-racist issues....I do object though being constantly bombarded with flash-ups.....Every time there’s a pause in the play....whoosh...a second-long full screen flash. I have started to turn the TV off, and won’t renew if SKY and NOW don’t stop this assault on my senses.

@Frankie11

Sorry to sound ignorant, but what do you mean “flash ups”?

Re: Flash-ups on screen during football matches

By ‘flash-up’ I mean a very brief, full screen depiction of Sky TV’s anti-racism statement, accompanied by a ‘whoosh’....usually when the ball has gone out of play or someone has fallen down (!).....sometimes three in quick succession....and probably averaging one per two or three minutes.

@Frankie11

As a guess this is a decision made by Sky, so NOW wouldn’t have much say in the matter.

Your best option would be to email Sky viewer relations, ensure no spaces

All Viewer Relations @ sky . uk

or

Viewer R @ sky . uk

Re: Flash-ups on screen during football matches

@Frankie11 if you're talking about the screen splash (see the gif below when logged into the community) it has been used for about 20 years to denote the start and end of a replay.

Over the years they've used things like the Premiere League trophy, club badges and the sky logo. I'm confident in saying that no matter how much you complain, it will stay part of the broadcast.

Thanks for that....at least I know now it’s called a ‘Splash’.

When it happens every couple of minutes it’s intolerable.
