F1 season pass 2021

Will this happen? If so I hope it's not going to cost too much more than £200 as I am on a limited budget as it is

@joshyf1

Sorry bud Now TV has ditched the annual passes, most likely due to Covid and the hassle they had with extending passes etc.

Any offers will be based on your account. If you go to “my offers” within the passes section, you’ll see a red banner for “offers”

https://www.nowtv.com/gb/account/passes/my-offers
This will change constantly and most times you check this out the offer will change or just disappear, so take screenshots if you see one that you think is worthwhile.

Also the “offers” part of the main site will show what standard offers are available.

I'll be setting up this new offer from  Saturday 5th June 2021 before morning practice in Azerbaijan.

Due to the upcoming triple header, this will cover four race weekends (apart from Friday for Azerbaijan) for £5 each, or £5.75 each in HD.

I only want F1 and this is an acceptable price. Silverstone follows these next 4 races, live on Channel 4.

Due to Sky's regular NowTV price packaging, this will be my first live F1 on TV in 2021. Presumably I'll be back to BBC Radio 5 live after Silverstone.

But at least June looks good.

Hi @Anonymous User

Not all customers got the 9 months £20 per month NOW sports pass offer.

If you didn't get the email which was sent out to selective customers or there is nothing showing under your online Account under MY Membership Exclusive Offers For You towards the top section of your My Membership page, then it sounds like you are out of luck (unless you want to try your luck negotiating with NOW live chat).

I have said this on more than one occasion on the Community Forum that i hate this practice of NOW giving different discounted offers to different customers.

Everybody should be given the same deal across the board.

Nor should customers who haven't been lucky enough to receive the discounted email offer be begging other customers for spare unused voucher codes, where the same identical offer should be made available on the NOW website to everybody who wants it if you ask me.

This NOW Sales Marketing policy and strategy infuriates me ever time i see these deals mentioned.

According to NOW Twitter there is a six months £25 per month sports pass deal going live on the 25th of March 2021 (where i am assuming it will either be under the NOW website offers or sports page).

What annoys me is the offer should be 9 months at £20 per month like the lucky email recipients had this week and not £25 per month on whatever duration NOW decide if it's 3, 6 or 9 months.

Anyway rant over.

Hey schnapps,

Thanks for the reply, I just spent past half hour on live chat to no avail, apparently there will be a new offer coming soon, I guess it will be the £25 you mention, it is complete BS I had F1 2years ago at discounted obviously last year was full price, I don't think the powers that be realise some of us have zero interest in the other sports channels and don't appreciate being scammed out of an extra 14.99-19.99 pm.

I am genuinely thinking of going down the old school route and getting sky from the local shady satellite repair shop.

Now tv you need to take note your marketing sucks.

The comment saying it won't happen is rubbish!

I just spoke with Now TV. They have said that a decision hasn't been made yet and therefore it's not a yes or a no.

"Keep your eyes posted for an email about it", was the response I received!

I am hopeful it comes too, but keep an eye on it!

@Anonymous User to be fair, the NowTV agents said exactly the same thing (keep an eye on emails and the website) before the start of last season, the football season and before Black Friday. On each occasion, there were no deals so I wouldn't hold my breath that there will be a deal this time.

Any news guys? Paid the last 3 years for the pass but if its more than £200 this year for a full season including practice, qualifying and race day I aint going to bother.

Look at the post that's maked for the solution.

No more annual sports passes thanks to covid, at best Now TV are doing full blown month pass deals. They have reintroduced 6 months movies and entertainment bundles, but this is based on your account.

Any offers you might get will be within your account.

Look out for emails offering Sports for £19.99month.  I got this recently.  Don’t know how long F1 is on for, but should work out less than £200/annum.

Sky Sports Month Pass offer, £19.99 a month for 6 months: Offer ends 22/02/2021. ‘Over 40% saving’ is against the price of Sky Sports Month Pass at full price (£33.99pm). Offer valid for the named recipient of this email only. Voucher code entitles recipient to a Sky SportsMonth Pass for £19.99 per month for 6 months. Pass auto renews at standard price after 6 months unless cancelled (currently £33.99 a month). You can cancel anytime. Offer not available to customers with an active Sky Sports Month Pass, unless you are in the last 30 days of your offer.

Is this a permanent decision, or is there a chance the F1 season pass may return in 2022 or beyond?

My plan failing any kind of offer is:

CH4 (Qualifying): 27 Mar, 17 Apr, 8 May, 22 May, 31 Jul, 28 Aug : £0

Day Passes(Race Only): 28 Mar, 18 Apr, 9 May, 23 May, 1 Aug, 29 Aug : 6x£10 = £60

CH4 (Qualifying + Race, British GP) 17-18 Jul : £0

Month Passes(Qualifying + Race): 5 Jun, 4 Sep, 9 Oct, 20 Nov : 4x£34 = £136

Boost: 22 Mar, 22 Apr, 22 May, 22 Jun, 22 Jul, 4 Sep, 9 Oct, 20 Nov:  8*£3 = £24

Total : £60 + £136 + £24  = £220

Per Race £220/22 = £10

Just had a look, still no offers.

Whats actually really ticking me off with this now is that I only learned a few days ago of the price which people in the US pay for F1 TV, the official Formula 1 stream.  For $90 a year! They have access to all live races, live timings and driver tracker etc plus archive races.  F1 TV in UK only has archive and timings.

Our only options are a Sky subscription, or Now TV sports pass which is £10...per day! or £33 per month.  It’s actually daylight robbery how much we in the UK have to pay for the very same stream that F1 TV has.  If they’re telling us we’re paying for Crofty, Brundle & co then I can skip that...as long as I can watch F1 live for FP, Qualy and Race.

I understand F1 wants to gain a larger audience in the US, but they shouldn’t be doing it at the expense of its loyal UK fan base who have been watching the sport for years!!

I am also waiting for any sign of an offer. If there is one it always seems to be last minute after the testing.

If there isn't one I will be skipping it and finding alternative means.

I agree that thanks to Bernie and Sky's deal we are the ones getting shafted while the rest of the world gets to watch F1 for a much better price.

Also given the cost I am not a fan of Sky double dipping with ads on pay TV.

I have zero interest in the other Sky Sports channels.

@Kenjara

With you on all your points.

The Bernie deal and lock in to Sky for so long in UK and Ireland is a real PITA.

I have zero interest in other sports - if I could sign up to F1 Pro to just watch this single sport I would - are you listening Liberty Media?

At least I won't have to put up with the facile Sky1Sports F1 commentators (Ex Drivers excluded here).

Wow.... okay that is insane. Just checked myself and it seems to be $80 for the year F1 TV Pro in the US if you pay upfront!!! That's £57 right now... for the entire season! That's less than 2 months of sky sports on now tv.

This is completely unacceptable.

Is there any way to access F1 TV pro in the UK? Perhaps a VPN? Almost worth a shot just to check if it works at $10 a month (the monthly price is slightly higher).

SweetBlitz

@James_0807 You can get it all with VPN, probably even get it all for nothing.  The price of Sports in UK is outrageous and it's less than you get elsewhere.  When I was in France I got ALL the Premier League games for €9.99/month with full re-runs after the final whistle.  It is £34 rack price in UK and the re-runs take 48 hours to appear and you don't get all the games either as some are on BT, BBC and Amazon.

@SweetBlitz

It's actually worse than I originally thought, the F1TV Pro service has just been upgraded to 1080p50 which means the actual comparison is £54 (9*£6 per month) for the F1TV Pro offering, vs £333 (9*£34 per month + 9*£3 per month) for the NowTV/SS offering since we now have to factor Boost into the cost for it to be comparable... How does that make any sense at all??!!

Sky model is surely unsustainable at this point if people start catching on and VPN'ing.
