Does Sky Sports Month Pass last a calendar month, or 30 days from purchase

Hi,

(Don't laugh at me) 

How long does a month pass last? Yes, a month. But if I bought it today, does it run out before end of August?

Or would buying it tomorrow last 01 August to 31 August.

@Anonymous User If you bought the pass right now (14:44), it would last Last until 14:44 on August 31. If you buy it tomorrow, August 1st, it will run until September 1st, expiring at, or about, the time of day you buy it.

@Mark_Weinreb Is that true for month passes?  I know that day passes last for 24 hours and week passes for 168 hours so they would expire but given month passes renew, I would be surprised if it ceased at the exact time if cancelled.

@Anonymous User @Anonymous User I’m pretty certain it holds true for month passes. Anyone want to buy a month pass, note the time when they activate it and also note the time when it stops working? If so, I’m sure we would all want to hear back in a month.

@Mark_Weinreb With the day/week passes it tells you you have so many days left and so many hours on the last day and shows the activation time.  The month pass doesn’t.

No. Life is too short! 😀  

It doesn’t happen with cinema nor entertainment which automatically renew, so I don’t believe it would happen with monthly sports passes.  Also it would mean that if you had continually renewed it would remember the time of the initial purchase.

I guess we need someone from Now TV to confirm...

In theory it’s meant to be the full month regardless of the number of days. So I got my month pass for sports on the 13th and it automatically renews on the 13th of the month unless I cancel it.

@gavs82008 I think @Anonymous User was making the point that if you start a monthly pass at say 4pm, it doesn’t necessarily expire at 4pm.

I just found out the hard way – it expires at about the time of day that it started. I purchased a month pass at the start of the Lions warm-up game against the Sharks and the subscription ended right in the middle of the third test against the Springboks.
