Re: BT sport

@David12341

The entire Now TV setup is due to launch on BT youview boxes some point this year. Muich like Sky are to receive wholesale rights to BT sport.

@robert1997

On a side note, I did finally receive a email from the Trials team. There was meant to be a trial for the Now TV boxes and sticks soon, I was informed that this has been delayed with no further date.

So the delay and comment that you spotted seems to be case around both Now TV and Sky.

Re: Full Now TV through the YouView box

Hi Everyone,

Sky and BT are working together so that Sky will be available through NOW TV on BT TV later this year. We’ve not released any specific dates yet and when we do our existing customers will be the first to know.

I appreciate that this will come as a disappointment but as soon as I have any other information to share I will happily do so.

Re: BT sport

Looking like we're a long way off seeing this cross supply deal coming to fruition @gavs82008 as both this and the comments a couple of days ago on the Sky forum would imply a long wait rather than anything happening soon. BT & Sky have made a right pig's ear of things 😐

Re: BT sport

Apparently BT Sports is launching on now tv boxes in Ireland on 1st August 2019 but the uk has to wait longer for it to launch. I thought it would have launch Ireland and uk at the same time

Re: BT sport

@UKTVPlayapp it is highly frustrating to say the least that Ireland is getting the content deal to begin much sooner and on time, whereas here in the UK we are bumped again.

According to the Sky help website it is confirmed by the end of the year

https://www.sky.com/help/articles/get-bt-sport-on-sky

When will this be available?

It's expected that these new services will be available by the end of 2019 - with further announcements expected nearer the time.

Like you said Ireland are getting the channels in a week!

Re: BT sport

Unfortunately in Sky/BT speak 'the end of the year' will most likely mean mid 2020 going by their track record 😐

You'll notice they say "it is expected...." which is the key phrase here, this is in no way a guarantee, just as "we expect it by mid-2019" when the original announcements were made by both parties.

Re: BT sport

@robert1997 @UKTVPlayapp looks like Ireland now have their prices for BT sport confirmed on the Sky Ireland web site. Pretty decent price to get it added, hopefully a similar sort of price for BT on Now TV, but not going to hold my breath considering the sports pass full price is £33.99!

Unless they bundled it in as one and kept the price, cause who actually pays that price?!

Nothing about Now TV Ireland getting BT Sport, is there?

Re: BT sport

@ClockEnd correct nothing mentioned about Now TV. But the fact they have pricing up for the Sky TV side already is showing the UK is being let down.

@gavs82008

I read somewhere that the Sports Extra Pack in Ireland is on an 18 month contract. Not sure if that was an official comment or not though.
