Hi @Anonymous User
Unfortunately at the moment there is no BT Sport on the NowTV service .
There is a cross supply agreement between BT & NowTV where the BT Sport App is maybe coming to the NowTV boxes & stick.
Where this information is still a little sketchy at the moment and no official date has been confirmed apart from it's apparently going to happen sometime during 2019.
Quick question first, am I the only one doesn't have access to the Quote function anymore or is it the same for everyone?
OK, back to the matter in hand. I take everything I hear with a touch of salt as they say. This was someone I was introduced to recently but not someone I know very well so am reluctant to put 100% faith in them. The lack of official communication however does not bode well for an imminent launch, but then again who knows what might happen in the next week or so. It wouldn't be the first time there has been a surprise thrown up for us 😀
Personally I believe the biggest issue here is both BT and Sky/NowTV have to be ready at the same time for both aspects of the cross supply deal to go live. It's possible the delay is not all Sky's fault in this instance. What does concern me is the lack of consumer testing at Sky/NowTV's end whereas I'm reliably informed there has been testing done by consumers of BT Youview devices.
I'm with you on the wishlist for NowTV and can only hope the delay in introducing 1080p etc was due to the launch of the new services on BT/Sky/NowTV and that all will be foisted on us at the time of these services going live to consumers. I can't see anything less than 1080p being acceptable to BT customers for instance, especially as they can currently access Sky Main Event in better quality than that offered by NowTV.
@Anonymous User what I have noticed is that I don't seem to be able to used the @ function when using my iPhone.
This is very true though. Downloads were just randomly dropped on us, so I would not be surprised if the same applied with the new features.
My guess is that the other features are still being tested in house with Now TV, but considering we signed up to the trials and still literally nothing is very frustrating to say the least.
As I have used the BT sport app on my Samsung 4K TV I can confirm that it is night and day difference over Now TV quality, its 1080p and 50fps, this is also advertised on all news referring the BT sport app. More importantly the BT Sport app will also output on HDR/4K (not sure if it now but it is certainly coming), this is a massive difference as they only launched the "Big Screen" app this year whereas Now TV has been about for several years.
To go off topic slightly I noticed that the BBC redbutton feature is bound to be cancelled this month.
Perhaps this is another reason for the delay and we might see Red Button appear on Sky Sports Now TV passes? (straws are being clutched!)

The following BBC Red Button Services will be removed:
Back onto topic, based on that link @UKTVPlayapp is talking about. There is no date regarding the addition of BT sport on Sky/Now TV and vice versa, however there is a bunch of channel name changes due to happen on the 22nd, perhaps a possible date for official information? (again straws being clutched!)

July 2019
BT Sport’s new HDR service will launch for the BT Sport app ahead of the new football season. It will offer picture quality of up to 4K resolution from just £5 per month.
I checked that information today on the website and it states TBC before the Aug 1st start date,so could be anytime thereafter.????
With the greatest of respect @UKTVPlayapp but maybe it would be best for you to avoid that site as the date changes every few days on it. As @Duncaw67 correctly says it does add a 'TBC' to the date. Until an official announcement is made those guys are only guessing the same as the rest of us. I wouldn't put any faith in a site which has changed the date 4 times already 😆
IMPORTANT reading for anyone waiting on BT Sport on Sky, and therefore NowTV. This was posted this morning by a Community Manager on the official Sky forum "It won't be in time for the new season starting I'm afraid. It's looking like Autumn at the earliest"

Those are forums I check as often as possible, good find on the comment.
Not entirely surprising to see its going to be delayed though. At least it is some form of official comment from Sky though.
That being said the 1080p announcement from T3/pocketlit said it wont be til later in the year. So the comment from the community manager makes sense if they want everything ironed out.
Still disappointing that a further delay on much needed improvements.
I'd be surprised if it makes it any time this year now. When they say "Autumn at the earliest" I don't think they're too confident of an Autumn launch. This sort of talk in 'TV speak' usually translates to anything up to 6 months into the future. Look how long it's taken to get 1080p sorted and we're still waiting (almost 8 months late and counting). I think this thread can probably be allowed to die it's own death now 😪
BUT the general consensus among people testing the product is that date will continue to be pushed back with a more likely launch date being 3 months down the line. Ultimately no-one knows until an official announcement is made and I don't think either party is in any big rush at the moment. Personally I feel it could be September...
September would be about when I have to make my decision to stay with Virgin. I am a bit surprised that this has taken so long and that it is not in place for the start of August when the football season kicks off as that would be the time many would be looking to subscribe. Suspect I will be staying with Virgin for another year.
@starman73There's nothing 'official' to indicate it won't make it before the football season starts (after all they have always intimated it would launch by then) but the murmurings from elsewhere suggest we are a few months off yet. If only BT & Sky could make some sort of announcement, even if it was to confirm things are being delayed, after all any news would be better than no news.
i cart see the bt sports on now tv not till now tv will give all channel will be addy to to bt on the now tv app so when bt get the fall now tv you will see bt sport then will be addy too now tv
@Anonymous User
I'm repeating my other post here in the hope you don't miss it. Sorry it isn't good news 😒
Currently the only pass that works on Youview is the Movies pass. Entertainment and Sports are not available and never have been on BT Youview. That is expected to change sometime this year (hopefully).
@Anonymous User
The entire Now TV setup is due to launch on BT youview boxes some point this year. Muich like Sky are to receive wholesale rights to BT sport.
@Anonymous User
On a side note, I did finally receive a email from the Trials team. There was meant to be a trial for the Now TV boxes and sticks soon, I was informed that this has been delayed with no further date.
So the delay and comment that you spotted seems to be case around both Now TV and Sky.
@Anonymous User @UKTVPlayapp
Found this on the BT forum
Hi Everyone,
Sky and BT are working together so that Sky will be available through NOW TV on BT TV later this year. We’ve not released any specific dates yet and when we do our existing customers will be the first to know.
I appreciate that this will come as a disappointment but as soon as I have any other information to share I will happily do so.
Looking like we're a long way off seeing this cross supply deal coming to fruition @gavs82008 as both this and the comments a couple of days ago on the Sky forum would imply a long wait rather than anything happening soon. BT & Sky have made a right pig's ear of things 😐
@UKTVPlayapp it is highly frustrating to say the least that Ireland is getting the content deal to begin much sooner and on time, whereas here in the UK we are bumped again.
According to the Sky help website it is confirmed by the end of the year
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/get-bt-sport-on-sky
When will this be available?
It's expected that these new services will be available by the end of 2019 - with further announcements expected nearer the time.
Like you said Ireland are getting the channels in a week!
