Has your balance gone down by 10p? I think you will find it is only your credit that has reduced, as the 10p is only reserved, and not taken.
NowTV are checking that the card you used to start the trial is good; as soon as they have, the 10p reserved will be reversed.
(Do you see what I did there? 😛)
Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it.
Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now.
That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.
