CWs DC Shows: Crises on Infinite Earths

@CanaryCry94 @Thom77 @caseyb1993 @mark_suff @commanda6 @gavs82008 @RoyB  @Anonymous User

Hi Super hero fans

First the good news, all the regular CW shows on Sky have been picked and are planned to be shown in the latter part of October, except Legends which will be shown in the new year.

Now the bad, Sky have said that they have no plans to show Batwoman, and as most of you guys know, this show will be the second part of the 5-part Crises on Infinite Earths:-

Supergirl  S05E09 (Part 1)

Batwoman S01E09 (Part 2)

The Flash S06E09 (Part 3)

Arrow S08E08 (Part 4)

Legends of Tomorrow S05E?? (Part 5)

So guys, if there is no "Part 2" how can we have a 5-part Crises?

BTW, here's the URL I got most of the info from:

I've been keeping my eye on the Geektown website religiously in recent times to see what might (or might not) be happening with Batwoman and a pick-up for UK television and it really does now seem like we could be missing out........ with the consequence indeed of a rather messed up Crossover.

Now, unless Sky and the folk selling Batwoman are in the middle of a Brexit-esq stand-off (and we all know how well those go) and it will all come good very very soon, we may just all have to imagine what goes on in Part 2 of the Crossover (or at least read the text description of the episode on Wikipedia)....... and how many of the returning stars / special guests might only pop-up in that episode never to be seen on these shores (until we get the DVD)??????

If Sky One don't pick-up Batwoman, it doesn't really seem like anyone else is going to step in....... and I'm guessing we may have reached the breaking point that was always likely to come??  How many Arrowverse spin-offs can the CW churn out before Sky One start to say "no more"?????  We can be disappointed if Sky One don't take it, but I'm guessing they may have reached their limit??

It will be interesting to see what does happen going forward.

Must admit to never having heard about this Harley Quinn show before I read about it in the Batwoman article and it does sound quite good, think I'll give it a watch as well.

I assume you mean October 2020 and the new year being 2021? I’m so confused with the dates saying that the episodes have aired online and they’re still not available here!

Nothing to get confused over, dates you see in IMDB or Wikipedia is all based on dates which it was shown in the States.

In the UK apart from a handful of programs, always gets the show weeks if not months behind the States.

Hi Thomas

First, I think there's some merit in Thom's posting because, after checking out IMDB, I see that some other CW shows are on another break, the second this year, and so it makes sense for Sky to delay showing Crises..., and the rest of CW's shows, until they are all lined up and in the bag.

However, as for co-operating with E4 on Crises..., I really hope so but I'm still somewhat sceptical.

One other thing, although Black Lightning is not officially part of the Crises... saga one of his episodes (S03E09 - The Book of Resistance: Chapter Four: Earth Crisis) directly points at the mega crossover. And there is no way we are going to see that episode on Sky/Now TV.

As Gavs posted, the best sources of keeping up with US shows is to keep an eye on IMDB and Wikipedia, it's how you can kinda make some sense of how Sky plans their scheduling, e.g. don't start showing anymore episodes until the US have concluded all their episode breaks (or something like that).

Well guys, hope my alcoholic fuelled ramblings makes some sense.

 Cheers.

Hey Guys

I just thought you'd both like to know that there are two more breaks to come, totalling 3 weeks, which is in addition to the current one week break, in the list of current CW shows being shown on Now TV.

There are going to be four breaks this year, not counting the Christmas/New Year break,  totalling some seven or so weeks.

All so the latest update from Geektown is that the shows will return in March.

My guess is the end of the month to coincide with Batwoman on E4?

Yes, just spotted that Geektown update a few minutes ago myself......does look like late March for everything to return???  I'll just save up my Sky One stuff until Batwoman hits the Crossover.

I might also try and guess how many episodes in before Batwoman on E4 goes graveyard slot😁😁 (Krypton, The 100, Star Trek Discovery...and the rest).

Unless it was the Big Bang Theory, almost anything decent from the States on E4 ended up in that graveyard slot. Agents of Shield also comes to mind.

Either way, at least there is almost some form of confirmation. Needing to get my Supergirl/Flash/Arrow fix.

Almost given up and nearly resorted in downloading them.

Hi Guys

Now, just a simple question (where I become cynical Bob).

Batwoman's cross over episode is S01E09, is it likely that E4 will pick that out to line up with Sky's broadcasting of Crisis ...., even if it might break their agreement with WB

I am somewhat sceptical.

Not only that, as both of you have mentioned, E4 are not the most reliable with their broadcasting schedules.

And TBH, I've given up on E4 some time ago, I can't tell the last time I actually watched something on that station.

However, I could be wrong and Sky and E4 could make an agreement to sync up Crisis..., but if they do I would like a few days "heads up".

Hopefully a synced up Crisis...
