why can't I watch walking dead series 8? It doesn't come up in box sets only on the Sky bit at £29.99! I only bought Now TV for this programme and can't see it!

Seasons 1 to 8 is not currently available because NowTV don't have the broadcasting rights with the studio at the moment to show this TV series.

According to this post (linked below) by the NowTV Team, seasons 1 to 8 is due back sometime in January 2019 (Date TBC) before season 9B returns.

Get Amazon Prime and you get seasons 1-7 included in HD. Watch them all in one month with the free trial or £7.99/month or £79/annum.  Sometimes they have offers like £59/annum.
