This is easily, without doubt, the worst streaming service I have ever used.

- The cost: utterly ridiculous to have to pay for TV and film separately.
- The resolution: 720p unless you PAY to get 1080? Are we in 2005?
- The perfomance: out of sync audio, frequent crashes, no option to next episode if you miss the prompt, grainy picture like it's buffering often even on high speed internet making the 720p image look even worse, horrible set up in general with web based menu and player that has barebones features.
- The service: Ads before literally every episode, the SAME ads over and over, on a PAID subscription? This is easily the worst part.

It's the only place with the shows I want right now, so I'm stuck with it, but it's absolutely awful.

Sky owns NOW, so that explains the overpriced memberships.

It is also explains the extra cost for 1080p.

As for the "adverts" before content. They are classed as promotional trailers for Sky content. So if you have boost they wont be going away anytime soon.
Annoying yes, but a skip feature would be nice, like Amazon.

The fact you mentioned player, sounds like your using a laptop/desktop for NOW. Personally I use my Sony Bravia Android TV which has the app built in.
Occassionally I get a playback error, but don't come across much else apart from that. Must be one of the lucky ones.

FYI that I do not work for NOW, just a NOW customer trying to help

I think it's pretty good overall.

Sky’s ‘Ease of Use’ department, fine-tuning the exact level of indignities that must be visited on Now subscribers, to keep Sky subscribers from defecting to the service, and yet not to have too many Now subscribers quitting because they can’t take it any longer, have determined that many Now subscribers would crawl across broken glass to watch House of the Dragon on Now’s terms rather than on Sky’s.

You should be properly grateful that Sky haven’t yet(?) taken things that far 😛

Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it. Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now. That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.
