I’ve been watching Succession Season 2 but it’s disappeared from the program guide. Can anyone explain why?

The commercial reality is that there are broadly two bases on which Sky, and hence NowTV, obtain programmes, like Succession, from outside suppliers: initially on first-run, where they show the programmes live, and on catchup up until 30 days after the last episode of the season.
This is the basis on which Sky and NowTV obtained Season 2 of Succession, and the 30 days has duly elapsed. The provider of this Season will now lease it out to secondary and tertiary distributors, at a lower rate.
Once it’s done the rounds of these, it becomes available on the second basis, box set, for whatever length of time Sky agrees with the supplier.
This is the basis on which Season 1 has been (re)obtained, so it is not tied to the same dates as Season 2. Though in practice, Sky like to obtain these past Seasons around the time of the latest first-run Season.
So expect Seasons 1 and 2 to come back when the first-run Season 3 is in the offing.
As to expiring without warning, every episode carries its expiry date in its programme details; but I have a theory about what might have happened here.
if you binge-watch it episode to episode, without ever going back to the episodes list where the expiry date is shown, either going back to back or via Continue Watching, the expiry dates may not appear to you, so you get no warning of them.
Is this what happened to you all here; or is there somewhere you expected to be able to see the expiry details and they weren’t there?
Or is the problem that December 6 was erroneously shown, when Season 2 was always slated to leave NowTV on the 12th of November?

Roy,
Thank you for your very comprehensive reply. All is now clear. Your theory was correct: we watched via Continue Watching, and never saw any expiry information.
It would be nice if Now TV made expiry info clearer, since I’m sure many people watch in this way. A warning that expiry is imminent would have been useful too. But I’m not holding my breath.

Hey, thanks to you, @Anonymous User
I think between us, we have just put our finger on a mystery beef that people have been having with things expiring on what was, to them, no warning.
Keep breathing normally, but I’ll see if we can get anything done about this.

Thanks Roy!

Is this stayed in the Terms and Conditions?

LMGTFY:-
CHANGES TO THE SERVICE AND CONTENT
The content will change regularly – that means on any given day, week or month, fresh and exciting movies, entertainment, channels etc. may become available (and other movies, entertainment shows, channels etc. will stop being available).
We may vary, replace or withdraw any service, feature or functionality or channel or content provided as part of a service at any time. We provide the services on an ongoing basis and we cannot foresee what may change in the future. This means we may {make} changes other than those set out in these Terms of Use.
It won't be practical for us to notify you in advance of all content changes and instead you should keep checking the NOW TV website for details of what's available.
(I put {make} in, as I think that is what was intended)

Is this stated in the Terms and Conditions?

Thanks, I wondered where it had gone too. Good tip about the Continue Watching route.

Is there any way to get an indication from NowTV as to when Season 2 will reappear?
21-11-2019 23:23
@Anonymous User
It will be when Sky choose to, and are able, to sign up for its reappearance.
But Sky are famously close-mouthed about such things, and, reading between the lines, I don’t think that NowTV will know when much in advance of us being told.

Sky has lost box set rights for Season 2. It's on Amazon Prime and iTunes. 20 quid for the season
I guess it might eventually be free somewhere.
