Generally episodes are added after airing.
However NOW have said that it can take up to 24 hours, most likely to cover their own backs.

If you’re trying to watch a show on catch up after it’s appeared on one of our TV channels, bear in mind that it can take up to 24 hours for an episode to be added after it was first broadcast.
FYI that I do not work for NOW, just a NOW customer trying to help
