Rights Restricitons on Premier Sports

I have paid for the Sports Extra package but am not able to view the match today between Aston Villa and Crystal Palace at 3pm (26/12/20) due to 'rights restrictions'. Surely this is some kind of mistake. Premier sports have the rights to the match and I have bought the correct pass??

The Sky sports pass only gives you access to the Sky sports channels on Now TV.

Hi and thanks for your reply.

I have the Sky Sports Pass and the Sports Extra Pass (BT and Premier).

I can watch all the other channels at the moment except for Premier Sports.

Are you a ROI  or a Sky TV customer? 

In the UK the sports pass only works for Sky channels.

I am a ROI customer and we have two passes available for purchase.

Sports Pass - All the Sky Sports channels

Sports Extra - BT Sports and Premier Sports

I have bought and used both passes before and the BT channels are working fine today (just watched the United v Lei game) so not sure what is up with the Villa match.

Ah right, that makes sense. Do recall that you guys have different sports passes than us in the UK.

As a guess do you happen to have a VPN switched on? If so is it set to UK?

Nope, no VPN on and I have tried on my PC, phone and PS4. All other channels on the passes seem to be working.

With a bit if googling it seems like it can happen to some shows sometimesbut it seems strange in this case as it is a live game they have the rights to.

@Anonymous User seems there was an issue at Premier Sports yesterday. English viewers saw the same error message when trying to access the live Rugby.

Just to follow up from my message. 

If your a UK Sky TV customer, you have to download TV from Sky to watch any of your Sky channels.

Now TV in no doesn’t the channels provided in the sports extra package from Sky TV

I guess it may have had something to do with the game being on BBC One.
