Hi all
more & more shows seem to be following the practice of a mid season break these days, but there doesnt seem to be any consistency in terms of how long the break will be/when they return.
Thats fair enough, there may be good reasons for the inconsistencies/unpredicatabilities of it, but i cant seem to find any way to know when they are coming back or indeed when they are in fact back, other than continually going to my watch list & clicking through the seasons, scrolling down the episodes & seeing if there are any more episodes showing. I find it very tedious & frustrating.
Netflix have a banner over the thumbnail of the show in your watchlist saying New Episodes, so while you may not know when the season is going to return, at least you know when it has. Same for when the new season hits.
Is there something similar that NOW does & i'm unaware of it? And if not can it be put to the team & something initiated please.
I have managed to miss the first episode of new seasons entirely, because of the watch limit, because by the time i've realised the new season's back its already timed out. Most frustrating.
I dont see why i should have to buy a tv guide purely for this & the alternative is far far too time consuming to check through each of my favourite shows every couple of wks, there are far too many!

@Anonymous User I agree Geektown are a good source. Keeping an eye on the NOW TV feed on Twitter is also useful.
For shows you know you like you could sign up for Sky's Never Miss service and add them to your list, then you'll receive an email when the new series is due to start or return from a break.

I use these sites
https://www.tvwise.co.uk/uk-premiere-dates/
https://www.geektown.co.uk/uk-air-dates/
They list first run 'premiere' dates plus dates for shows returning from mid season breaks etc.

@Anonymous User Yeah the good thing about Never Miss is you can just set it and forget about it, it's been reliable for me so now I know it works I've added most of the shows I follow and just sit back and wait for the email!

@Anonymous User No worries, I know how frustrating those mid-season breaks are. I hope you're not a Modern Family fan like I am, it's notorious for 4 or 5 breaks each season, it's a wonder I catch any episodes!

lol i AM a modern family fan! It's brilliant so funny, and yes it drives me crazy there will be 2 episodes & then it stops & by the time you realise it's come back on at least one episode has disappeared off the on demand list! Have put all my favourites on 'never miss' now, so hopefully that will help 🙂
