Family Guy season number is incorrect

My Roku is informing me that a brand new episode of Family Guy is available – Season 17, Episode 13:

However, when I enter NowTV, the episode that is listed as Season 17 Episode 13 is actually from Season 16. (Note how the episode synopsis above and below do not match.)

It's the same problem for the entirety of "Season 17" on Now TV – it's all really Season 16, so is actually a year old rather than brand new.

Please fix this, Now TV. It's confusing and misleading.

Hi @Anonymous User

Thanks for getting in touch.

This confusion is likely caused by the difference in Family Guy's season numbers between the US and the UK.

In the UK, Season 17 is Season 16 in the US. Season 17 in the US, will be Season 18 in the UK.

The current season of Catch Up on NOW TV, is the latest available in the UK from FOX. Of course, just to add to all this, the new Season 17 is currently broadcasting in the US!

I think it all started with some half-seasons available in the UK early in Family Guy's life, which has led to a difference in season labels ever since. This is the way it's provided to us by FOX.

Hopefully this goes some way to explain.

Thanks,

Jason
