Hi team,
My partner noticed that there are lines edited or removed from the sitcom Dinnerladies that had previously been shown in full.
The most obvious one we've noticed is in the episode Royals where the phrase
is removed which seems odd given it ties into a later punchline.
What is up with this? Language in the same episode is not removed or censored and other slightly off colour jokes are not removed in other episodes so I'm left kind of confused here.

Hi @Anonymous User
The reply from provider is:
This particular episode some mid-level language was removed such as "arsehxxx" and mulitple "efxxxx" uses, as a "gxxg bxxg" reference. This would be an usual practice for daytime versions of any programme.
The episode watched by your partner might have been the uncut in later Post watershed slot on the BBC.
I hope this makes sense about the content now.
Thank you.

If you aren't in the UK then really you shouldn't be able to access NOW, as it will work in the exact same way as iPlayer, BritBox etc.
That being said, I have subscriptions to Paramount+ and Peacock TV in the US.
Are you watching the episode Live or on demand?

Ah right, indeed absolutely got my wires crossed!
Have to admit I am jealous that you don’t have the iPlayer as an option, mainly cause as I refuse outright to pay the £150 for the license fee!
