How are NowTV legally allowed to charge us for an ad-free subscription and then put 30 second unskippable ADVERTISEMENTS at the start of on-demand streaming? Just because it's an advertisement for their own product makes it ok? Surely this is fraud!

Wouldn’t say it’s fraud, massively annoying yes. However NOW don’t shy away from saying it will still be there.

Some shows have 30 seconds of what's on Sky at the start of the programme and some shows don't I find.

Agree, these trailers are nonsense if it is ad free.  You can get around it by stopping the programme when the ads start and then restarting so you get straight to the programme. Get back 15 seconds of your life,
