This app is a disgrace

From continually crashing my PS3, continuous buffering (despite my broadband connection being strong and fast), to the poor picture quality, out of sync audio and clumsy and crashing menus, this app has been a disaster for as long as Ive had it.

I will be going to trading standards regarding the absolutely atrocious service offered from this product.

The PS3 app seems to be playing up quite a bit of late, there have been other posts in different sections about problems with it. Hopefully, the NOW TV team will pick this up & look into what's currently happening with it. I'll mark this post as new as problems were still being reported up until the 14th.

And trading standards will kick you out... after a 3 min google search...

There are TO MANY examples of the Application not having any errors and running fine... there posted all over youtube working fine and this site... 

If it does not work for you fine so cancel but for many others it works Flawless with ZERO buffering during the content...

If trading standards were to visit the head office thats what they will see on the domestic unit PS3 unit...

 

There is issues with local ISP filtering which is per town and region only...

When you are not in those areas you should get HD and content that never buffers... 

The service is not under heavy demand as there are no big shows airing...

You say to cancel which is a great idea except the crappy website layout of NOW TV makes it near damn impossible to cancel a subscription. This is mainkly due to the fact that according to NOW TV I do not have any passes on my account yet I get billed every month for 2 of them.

 

how does this work??

If you don't see any active passes on your My Account > My Passes page

then you may be logged into the wrong account and the charges will be coming from a different account.

Might be worth checking you haven't got any other NOW TV accounts, it often happens that people set up more than one account to take advantage of different promotions and explains why they keep getting payments made even when they seem to have cancelled everything. Alternately you might be signed into an old Sky ID you have from having had Sky TV or broadband in the past. If you've got any apps that you used to watch NOW TV on check the My Account screen on those to see what username you are signed in with there.

If you still can't find where the payments are coming from have a word with Live Chat they can help you track down where the problem is.

Why does Netflix, Amazon and iPlayer work fine but the Now TV app does not?  Its a simple test...

 

This app really is a disgrace.  Now TV will not survive as a business with an attitude to software development like this.  It is a real shame because there is content on Now TV that Netflix and Amazon do not have.

 

Here is some free advice, as a business, their strategic stengths against the competition are their content but their weaknesses lie in the execution of their service...  customer experience is everything...  Please fix this app and I might venture back.
