NowTV app on PS5 prompts me to join via the website, however once i’m redirected to the website it tells me to buy a membership and there is no option to sign in on PS5, despite already having a membership and being signed in on the website.

Once you close the QR scan code you should be able to access the gear wheel icon top right of the Playstation NOW App to enter your existing account details.
