New App - Media Controls

The new Xbox app is a MASSIVE improvement. It uses the interface of the Now box, that works well.
I'm not sure if it's just me though, but the controls on my media remote for the Xbox don't work anymore. Play, rewind, ff do nothing and I have to click Ok/Select then again on the onscreen media controls.
If it is the case that these aren't working on the new app, would it be possible to allow their use again on the next update please?

Time to tackle the Windows App next 😉 *cough*UWP*cough*

I just want to add my 'voice' to this thread.  I have a Logitech Harmony remote and the fast-forward, rewind, play, pause and stop buttons no longer have any effect. I could understand if this was an entirely new app but since this is an upgrade, and the functions worked perfectly well in the previous version, it would be nice to see a fix sooner rather than later.

 

I do like the new layout (mimics the NOW TV box) but honestly find the lack of remote button functionality more annoying than the previous GUI.
