the 1st time using this service & all I keep getting is screen freeze every minute or so, it's so frustrating... I have the latest "SUPER HUB" from virgin media, so what the heck is causing this, surely it's something at your end (now tv) and if it is like this on every film, then I dont think I will be subscribing to this service, besides, I never had this problem at all with Netflix????
Please give me some advice, and not the "click here" for advice, and when clicking on it, the message "ERROR" not very promising at all on the 1st viewing....

Hi Thomasceltic,
Thanks for your post,
Could you try perhaps playing other movies? If you are still experiencing the same problem it sounds like an connectivity issue. Firstly it's recommended that you restart your router as this can fix a lot of connectivity issues.
Using a wireless connection can affect your viewing experience. Using an Ethernet cable to connect your device straight to your router should remove this as a factor.
We also recommend that you have at least a 2.5 mb/s download speed when watching a NOW TV movie so you can get the most from our service.
I hope this helps you resolve your issue but if not please don't hesitate to get back in touch with us.
Thanks again,
Joshua

Hi MartyMc,
I'm sorry to hear that you are having issues.
So that I can more effectively help, can you answer a few questions and check a few things?
First of all, we always recommend that you have at least a 2.5 mb/s download speed when watching a NOW TV movie so you can get the most from our service. It is also advised that you avoid using a wireless connection where possible as this can cause problems when streaming large segments of data.
Could you also try some other movies on NOW TV so we can determine if this issue is local to one movie. After that, please reset your router and try another web browser supported by NOW TV to see if this helps.
Please let us know how you get on.

We need to link these threads together into one to highlight the problems to them, see https://community.nowtv.com/t5/Consoles/PS4-app-buffering/m-p/469166/highlight/false#M4825

Hi @Anonymous User I've been sittin ghere for 15 minutes reading through various forums/HowTo websites and can not find anything regarding a NOW TV Box taking all the WiFi. But i'll tell you this. In my own house, my NOW TV Box works amazingly well while everyone elses WiFi suffers. Lan cables we're the only solution for a while until one day i decided to sacrafice the dual band connection on my router and disable to the 5Ghz signal. So, now my WiFi works fine (only 2.4Ghz though and i feel that sometimes when playing the PS4) and the NOW TV Box isn't causing any more problems with our network. Anyway, sorry for the rambling but is your Virgin Super Hub dual band enabled? If i'm completely off the mark here just let me know and we'll dig deeper. Can't have the NOW TV Box stealing all your bandwidth.

Hi there,
My Now TV player is really awful. When I try to play it on my laptop, the program loads super quick and there are no buffering issues, but the audio skips, jumps and repeats itself all the time, which is really frustrating and I can't watch any shows at all.
There is nothing wrong with my internet speed (just checked), and I've tried connecting it via cable. Netflix etc work absolutely fine, so I think it is a problem with the app.
Can you please advise me as to what to do next? I'm paying for an entertainment pass so it would be great to actually watch the shows! (hopefully this is sorted before game of thrones comes out on monday )
Thanks,
Izzy
