App crash, error CE-34878-0

Experiencing multiple crashes tonight while watching Sky Sports News with (generic PS4 error) code CE-34878-0. Throws me back to PS4 dashboard and I have to relaunch the app.

 

Crashes ranging from after a few seconds of streaming to after about 20 minutes. Incredibly frustrating having paid for a week of this.

 

I have deleted and reinstalled the app to no avail.

I have done all the above as many others have, and still got crashes.

Seems to work fine on my phone only issues are on the PS4.

Just experienced this every couple of minutes tonight trying to watch sky sports. Crashes with error code ce-34878-0 every time. Started yesterday. Deleted and reinstalled but no change. Please fix!

Unless you have raised a fault with NOW directly you won't. 


All I can suggest is to keep trying. 

FYI that I do not work for NOW, just a NOW customer trying to help

The troubleshooting steps within this thread have helped other users with this error.

 

If you haven't already done so then I would perform a Database Rebuild by following these steps.

 

https://support.us.playstation.com/articles/en_US/KC_Article/Safe-Mode-PS4/

 

To rebuild the database its option 5.

Yes same for me, every other app works fine. Only the NowTV app has problems for me on the ps4. And like other people, seems to have happened since the update.
