Sky store

As well as having terrible buffering problems each evening I just purchased a movie through Sky Store and every time I get the the exact same points in the movie my tv switches off!!!!! 😡😡😡

Welcome to the forum. Unfortunately it seems to be an issue with some Sky Store rentals/purchases not playing correctly on the NOW TV box at the moment.

 

If you don't have any other devices you can use to access your purchase I'd suggest getting in touch with Sky Store and either reporting the issue and asking for their advice, or alternately asking for a refund so you can purchase elsewhere, they have live chat and telephone support, details here

Thanks Andy. I FF the film a little, it seems to be Ok now. Thought I was going crazy and must be sitting on the remote or something until it happened for the 5th time and by this point the remote was in my hand. Thanks for taking the time to respond.

@Anonymous User No worries. If you can manage for now Sky Store and NOW TV should between them work out what the issue is and fix it.

 

There have been a handful of reports of similar problems though, personally I'm avoiding renting anything from Sky Store for a few weeks until things settle down, as it's more inconvenient with rentals when they expire within 48 hours of watching.

Visited sky store via now tv app, downloaded a rental movie, but it won’t play, can I watch it from my sky tv box instead, can’t seem to find it in my sky TV guide ..

@Anonymous User Welcome to the forum. No unfortunately online rentals can't be sent to your Sky box, you need to rent directly on your Sky box to watch there. I'd recommend getting in touch with Sky Store direct to see if they can either help you get it working or issue a refund.
