been in touch with online help. they are going to correct the offer. as a gesture of goodwill they gave me 3 months instead of 2 which basically pays for the chromecast
contact the help team online to see if they will do the same for you

I didn't get anything like that level of service. The person on chat blamed by browser for the link not working (despite it being a known issue) and then when I they gave me a manual code to enter the site said it couldn't be applied because I already had an account. When I pointed out that the offer was for existing customers as well as new I was told they only way it could be applied was if my auto-renew was cancelled and I came back in 8 days time to try again. Not very slick at all!
