Now to won't play on chromecast

Hi, I've just set up now tv with my chromecast, all seemed to be going well - it connected fine and shows on the tv screen- but whenever I try to actually play a show I get an error message 'somethin went wrong' can anybody help please? I only got now tv so I could watch a certain show and it won't play 😞

Are you in the UK... Which county? 

Yes Sky UK Dish works in ROI but NowTV does not... Due to Region lock out on IP addresses...

 

Whos your ISP? Chromecast feeds are not the same as android... its HD enabled and ISPs despite the adverts don't like HD services... EE and smaller ISPs don't like popular HD services even if they sign a marketing deal with them... and filter traffic...

 

What device are you streaming on the actual chromecast dongle or the revisions new name devices that have googlecast enabled devices as they use differnt hardware which is not supported...

Nexus player and Sony HDTVs and googles own dongle only are supported googlecast hardware...
