I agree this app isn't good enough!

Bare minimum it needs recently watched so I don't have to search every time I want to continue watching something!

@Anonymous User-r I think what everyone needs to hear is an assurance that the Apple TV will get the standard issue Now TV app at some point, and also that when that does finally happen that it will also take full advantage of the platform's unique features. Siri voice search and Top Shelf for example.

The Apple TV is also unique right now in that it's Now TV app is so wildly different and so far behind every other Now TV platform that it should be at the front of the queue for improvements. There are still deficiencies with your Roku and PS4 apps, but they're trivial when compared to the ground up rewrite the Apple TV app requires.

It's genuinely surprising that an organisation with Sky's huge resources would be happy to put out such a sub standard and brand damaging product. You're up against Netflix here, and they brought their A game to the ATV on launch day.

Netflix had their app ready on annoucement day, that's because Apple realised they needed one big player to show off and threw everything at them to make it work. Everyone else had to wait for the dev kit, and even then the actual box to test with.

That may be part of the story, but I'm not convinced that it's really an excuse for the rather poor Now TV app. Plex, for example, had a nice looking app just after launch day.

Hello,

Loving the new Apple TV and your new app - when will you be supporting the watchlist feature?

Rick.

Hi @Anonymous User,

Thanks for getting in touch.

Glad to hear that you're enjoying the new Apple TV, as of yet there are no plans to introduce this feature, but we'll consider it for the future.

If you have any other feedback or feature ideas, please feel free to get back in touch.

Thanks,

Karl

My advice - buy another device if you wish to watch Now TV. Any one will do, as they all offer vastly superior Now TV apps. Try a Roku, they're very cheap and have a far more complete line up of apps than the Apple TV, including of course Netflix and Amazon Prime.

The Now TV app on the new Apple TV is a joke. An MS-DOS throwback with the ugliest user interface ever commited to the app store and no features of any kind beyond clicking on a video file name link. Quite how a big corporation such as Sky could ever think such an abysmal effort was worth releasing is beyond me. It's telling that apps written by one guy in his bedroom (which sadly make up the majority of ATV apps at present) offer far, far prettier and more modern user interfaces that the train wreck Sky pooped out onto the App store.

This isn't just a lazy effort, it's positively comatose.

It is annoying that they won't develop the app so it is in line with all the others - I am trying to get rid of all the other streaming devices to have an 'all in one' solution - this isn't going to happen now!

It's so annoying not having My TV (watchlist) in the Apple TV app. I love using Netfilx as I can watch programs on my phone when I travel and continue to watch them (from where I left off) on my TV when I get home. Come on Now update the app.

Thanks
