Why can I not cancel my broadband online

I dont want to talk to them on the phone, I dont want to email.... I simply want to cancel my broadband that is now on a rolling one month contract that has doubled in price. 

I also do not want to switch as we are transfering it from my mothers email address to mine as I pay the bill.

Why are you considering transferring the email, when you just want to cancel it?

I don’t understand….

Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it. Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now. That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.

OK ignore the email thing completely, I simply want to cancel the broadband online. Is this possible?

I think @trig1977  may not have read down far enough to see:-

You can also send an email to [email removed] to let us know you'd like to cancel. We may need to call you back to verify your details, but don't worry, your notice period will begin the date we receive your request.

Keep in mind

We won't be able to cancel your membership unless we can verify your account information.”

erroneously assuming that the advice stopped at the ‘How much…?’ box 😢
