Transferring service from Now to zen broadband

I'm switching to another internet provider, my new provider has said that the service activation date will be on the 6th of October, however NOW has notified me that the transfer will be on the 4th. I thought transferring was meant to be seamless without a 2.5 day disruption, how do I get now to transfer AFTER my new provider has actually taken over?

Depends, are you switching to a FTTP package or FTTC?
The latter is what NOW offer, so a switch to FTTP is on a different setup entirely. 

If I were you speak with Zen as they should be handling everything.

Or did you arrange for the cancellation yourself directly with NOW?

FYI that I do not work for NOW, just a NOW customer trying to help

Interested to see how you get on, as Zen are on my consideration list when/if Now become too expensive when whatever deals i am on with Now expire with no decent renewal offers.

 

What package/deal/connection type are you moving to with Zen?

are you taking their digital (Voip) service that's provided via their router ( Fritz!box) but can be used separately with your own ATA (analogue telephone adaptor) and own router
